The Alps Golf Pro Tour is a professional golf tour orginized by the national golf associations of Switzerland, Italy, Morocco and Austria.
The Alps pro golf tour is 3rd level european tour, the highest europe golf level is the European Tour, and the 2nd level european pro tour is the Challenge Tour. This tour is created for young golf
professionals to give them opportunity to play and also to win some category on the European Challenge
Tour and also fore some exemptions from the European Tour Qualifying School stage 1.
Other 3rd level european golf tours are the PGA EuroPro Tour in UK and also the EPD Tour in Germany.
The Alps Golf Tour events are in 5 countries mentioned above. There are +/- 20 events per season and the total prize money are approx. one million Euros. Most of the tour players come from hosting countries. The top tour players of the Alps tour Order of Merit win admission to the European Tour Qualifying School - stage 2 (there are total 3 stages), plus top 5 golfers get to play at Challenge Tour with limited privileges.
