Definition - Golf Scramble Term Glossary: it is one of primary tournament forms that are played at golf associations or charity events and other similar events.
A scramble is normally played with 4 person teams, also 2 person scrambles are very popular. When played 2 person scramble format, handicaps usually apply; if played 4 person scramble format, handicaps usually do not apply - only if it is an Ambrose style scramble format.
Scramble rules say that each player must tees off on each hole. The best of all tee shots is then selected and all players then play second shots from that spot. Next, best of all second shots is determined and all players play third shots from that spot, and it goes on until the ball is finally holed.
When scramble is played as with 4 players, teams are constructed as an A player, B player, C player and also D player, based on their handicaps. The A player would be the lowest handicapper, the D player would be the highest handicapper.
A golf scramble might require players A and B to tee off from the back tees and players C,D from the middle tees. Or another format is that A’s tees from the back, players B’s and C’s from the middle and players D’s tees from the front. The tournament organizers can specify that all players will play from the same tees.
There are also other scramble variations:Texas Scramble and also Ambrose Competition.
Known As: Ambrose Competition when is a group handicap used. Texas Scramble is when at least 4 tee balls of every group member must be used. “Fort Lauderdale” - synonym term.

You know that feeling when you drive far and down the fairway? Imagine being able to do the perfect golf swing every time? Rickard Strongert, golf expert , tells you how.
Step 1:Set up
Take a normal setup and aim good, your shoulders are parallel to the target.
Lean upper body slightly to right, behind the ball, that it is easier to turn body and shift weight to the right foot during the back swing for a powerful position.
Measure the angle of upper body holding a club against you, one hand is on your chest and one is on your belt. See the video for full info…
Step 2: Swing
Keep all your muscles very relaxed as you swing, because a relaxed muscle is much faster than a tense one.
Start back swing with a rotation of hips and your upper body, turning fully as you complete it.
To make sufficient upper body rotation, keep the triangle shape between arms until a halfway of your backswing. Full details in the video….
